Meet Madeline: Account Manager/SEO

Madeline, LSCC account manager, standing outdoors in front of leafy green trees.

There’s no single path to a career in marketing. For Madeline, the road included fashion merchandising, music business, journalism, a move to Nashville, graduate school, and plenty of SEO strategy research along the way. Those experiences shaped how she approaches her work today: stay curious, understand the people behind the business, look closely at the data, and keep asking how the work can be better. Now, Madeline brings that perspective to LSCC, where she supports client accounts while helping strengthen and grow our SEO capabilities.

Madeline first discovered her interest in marketing while earning her undergraduate degree in Fashion Merchandising. Alongside her interest in fashion and marketing, Madeline has always had a passion for the music business. During college, she worked as an event coordinator and initially planned to pursue a career as a booking agent. That took her to Nashville, where she joined the contract department of a boutique talent booking agency. It didn’t take long to realize it wasn’t the right fit. So she returned to Georgia, dove into digital marketing, earned SEO certifications, applied to graduate school, and worked multiple part-time jobs while continuing to build her experience. She also began volunteering with marketing and social media for Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery.

“My path to getting here wasn’t straightforward,” Madeline says. “There were a lot of detours, but I truly think that’s where the character development occurred.” Those detours also gave her something valuable: the confidence to try new things. An internship in New York in 2020 meant navigating a new city, a corporate environment, and a rapidly changing workplace during lockdown. Moving to Nashville meant taking another chance on an unfamiliar opportunity. Each experience helped Madeline better understand what she wanted from her career and gave her the confidence to pursue it. Eventually, that included reaching out to Lindsay about LSCC.

What initially stood out to Madeline about LSCC was the team’s commitment to understanding clients beyond the surface level. “The LSCC team is incredibly passionate about getting to know clients and truly understanding what they do and how to showcase it,” she says. “That’s what really drew me to the team.” The quality of the work mattered, too. So did the attention to detail and the way the team approached collaboration. For Madeline, a strong creative environment is one where ideas don’t need to arrive perfectly packaged. They can be shared, challenged, refined, and made stronger together. That mindset has become one of her favorite parts of working at LSCC. “This team constantly pushes you to ask, ‘How can this be better?’”

One area Madeline is especially excited to help grow is LSCC’s SEO strategy and services.

SEO combines two things she naturally gravitates toward: research and opportunity. She enjoys digging into SEO analytics, identifying what the data is telling us, and finding ways for clients to strengthen their visibility in search. “I never thought I’d enjoy diving into SEO analytics as much as I have,” she says. “I’m most energized by projects that let me dig into the data and identify opportunities to help clients become the top search result in their field.”

And because search is constantly evolving, there’s always something new to learn.

Madeline hopes to continue strengthening her SEO expertise while helping LSCC clients become more competitive in their industries. That means looking beyond rankings alone and using SEO insights to help clients make smarter decisions about their broader marketing and growth strategies.

When she isn’t working on client accounts or digging into SEO analytics, Madeline spends time volunteering at Oakland Cemetery, where she helps with events and works in the visitor center. The experience has deepened her appreciation for Atlanta history and the importance of preserving people’s stories and legacies. She’s also still connected to the music world. Madeline sings and works on music projects with friends, with hopes of releasing music in the future. On a slower weekend, you’ll probably find her catching up with friends, thrifting, browsing vintage stores for fashion and home inspiration, or spending time with her two cats, Finn and Stuart.

A few more Madeline facts: She has a habit of buying art supplies for paintings she may or may not finish, interned at her hometown newspaper, The Newnan Times-Herald, became a freelance reporter at 19, and once worked as a research assistant helping a professor write an academic journal on punk. In other words, curiosity is pretty consistent across the board.

At LSCC, Madeline hopes to make an impact through equal parts expertise, work ethic, and kindness. She’s especially focused on helping deepen LSCC’s SEO expertise and continuing to build an approach to search strategy that helps clients increase visibility, attract the right audiences, and compete more effectively in their industries. And yes, she’d also like her funny emails and slack messages to make stressful days a little lighter. We think both are important.
